People that voted before us, their decisions have impacted us. So when we're voting we're not just thinking a couple months from now, we're thinking years from now. Like are the decisions that we're voting for going to be able to push forward the next generation? Are they going to be able to have a chance?
I want to be colorful. I want to be bright. I want people to see all the beauties of not being so perfect. I never want to be somebody who's easily defined.
Black is not a monolithic experience. There's so many different ways that you can represent yourself and still feel proud to be black.
